The Staff at Kirkland Rainbow Adventure day camp are VOLUNTEERS, giving our time and energy generously to provide an excellent program for your Camper. With this in mind, parents and campers must agree to the following guidelines and policies for virtual and in-person sessions. Guidelines:
Guardians and campers will be sensitive in communication, being aware that we are all human beings doing our best as a gift of ourselves to others.
When problems or concerns arise, we will communicate them through the camp director or PA Advisor.
When something is needed, I will speak up!
This is a great big experiment, during a pandemic. We promise to think the best of each other and bring our patience and grace for each other.
The Girl Scout environment is free from drugs, tobacco, alcohol, and cannabis, and guardians and campers will refrain from their use on camera at this Girl Scout event. This includes eCigs.
It is *required* for any person on camera to be fully dressed and to stay in public areas of your home. Failure to follow this requirement will force an immediate removal from the session, and the camper will not be allowed back in until the next session.
Campers will be muted upon arrival. Stay muted for until you are called on, or instructed otherwise.
When naming campers when logging into Zoom, please take care to use First Name and Camp Name, and pronouns ONLY.
Our Hosts are recording this event and taking screenshots. By being on our call, you are agreeing to be recorded and photographed for our archives, marketing, and will be published online for Campers who need repeat instructions. If you do not want your camper recorded, please turn off video.
Remember to use encouraging and kind words in the way you communicate during the breakout rooms or large-group experience.
We do not have the Volunteer-bandwidth to provide warnings and indulge in attention-seeking behavior. People who violate these agreements will be removed and blocked at the Host's discretion. Please make it easy for the Host by complying with these agreements. The Hosts are very nice and don't want to enforce a boundary, but they will in order to keep the event running smoothly.
WA state phase and council guidelines may change abruptly and without notice, we will do our best to accommodate changes but we may need to cancel in-person sessions.
If the optional in-person session is canceled, we will issue a refund of $30.
Masks, physical distancing, and site-based minimums (outdoor, hand washing/sanitizer, and others) will be followed for the outdoor in-person session.
If campers cannot follow the guidelines, guardians will be expected to pick up the camper within 20 minutes of notification.
Temperature and symptom questionnaire will be administered at check-in daily. If campers show any symptoms defined by GSWW, campers will not be allowed to participate in the in-person session.
If campers exhibit any symptoms while at in-person sessions, guardians will be expected to pick up the camper within 20 minutes of notification and the camper will be isolated until they are picked up.
