Volunteer Position Descriptions

We need a lot of volunteers to make camp happen smoothly and appreciate all help!  If you don't have time to be at camp all week, there are some planning positions available you can do before camp and still get a discount and early registration.

Creates schedules and tasks for camp, coordinates planning meetings, delegate to other positions as needed, and are the go-to people for questions around camp.

Helping the director and learning the ropes to take on a director position

Program Aide Advisor(s)
Organize and guide the program aides to run camp.  They will register and assign Program Aides, facilitate activity planning with the PAs and Adult leads, and be the go-to people for any PA questions.
PA Advisor responsibilities

Registrar
Sets up and monitors registration of campers.  Communicates with parents on registration topics.

Business Manager
Handles treasurer duties, website updates, and volunteer coordination.

Health Supervisor
Be at camp for First Aid issues that arise.  This position requires online GSWW training and First Aid Certification. (RADC can cover cost of First Aid Certification, if needed)

Program Director
Work with Program Aides and steering committee for planning camp skills, games, activities.  The activities are themed based on the camp theme.

Be present during camp to assist Unit Program Aides with campers as needed

Forest Green Unit Leads
6th grade unit that will be camping at River Ranch GS camp!  Plan and camp with the unit.

Work with Explorers providing PA training to 7th -8th graders wishing to become PAs at RADC next year.  ​
