Registrar
The Day Camp Registrar’s role is to setup and execute registration for campers, teen program aides, and adult volunteers.

Service Commitment: The Day Camp Director will appoint the Registrar for a one year (renewable) term in which they can expect to provide a minimum of 60 hours of service, depending on the needs of the day camp. The service hours will be spread out over a planning and preparation period leading up to the opening of day camp and following the end of the day camp session. This position does not require you to be at camp during the week.
Supervision and Support: The Day Camp Registrar is supported by and accountable to the Day Camp Director and works closely with the leadership team.
Responsibilities:
- Serve as part of the Leadership Team of the day camp.
- Attend day camp Leadership Team meetings specifically with registration agenda items
- Assist business manager in the development and implementation of the camp budget and promotional material for participant registration.
- Select a mailing address for delivery of registration forms, and phone and e-mail contact information for questions about registration.
- Accept all registrations before and during camp operation.
- Work with Service Unit Registrar to submit the list of participants to GSWW.
- Submit Financial Assistance applications and Cookie Credit requests as needed.
- Ensure the deposit all money as set up by the Day Camp Business Manager.
- Keep records of payments and outstanding fees.
- Assist in the development of the camper confirmation packet. Distribute to registered participants at least 4 weeks prior to the Day Camp.
- Compile a list of registrations by grade level. Work with team to place campers in grade level units.
- See that the Day Camp Director is kept informed of registrations at all times. Notify the Director of Volunteer-Led Camps when camp has reached its capacity.
- Collect health information forms and give to the Health Supervisor.
- Participate in pre-camp orientation, final evaluations, and closing camp procedures.
- Submit the Final Participation Report within two weeks of camp closing to the Director of Volunteer-Led Camps.
- Represent day camp and Girl Scouts in a positive light to campers, volunteers, guests, and the community.
Qualifications:
- Access to computer and internet
- Ability to learn registration software and basic computer skills
- Good organization and communication skills
- Ability to effectively collaborate with a team of volunteers and camper parents
